New Delhi: The Election Commission of India has announced the final results of the Bihar Assembly Election, confirming a strong victory for the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA).

Celebrations broke out from Patna to Delhi as Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP President J.P. Nadda, and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh reached the Delhi BJP headquaters, where they received a grand welcome. PM Modi called the landslide win a result of the people’s firm trust and said, “We work hard to keep the people happy, and today we have truly won their hearts.”

Was it a direct fight between the NDA and Grand Alliance?

This election saw a clear contest between the NDA and the Grand Alliance. The NDA included major parties like JDU, BJP, LJP, and HAM. The Grand Alliance consisted of RJD, Congress, VIP, Left parties, and IIP. This time, the political equation in Bihar changed, causing a major setback for the Grand Alliance and helping the NDA achieve a strong majority.

Why was there record voting in Assembly Election?

The 2025 Bihar Assembly Election witnessed record-breaking voter turnout. It became the highest voting percentage ever recorded in the state. According to election official Vinod Singh Gunjiyaal, the second and final phase saw 68.79% voting on 122 seats, the highest so far.

The first phase recorded 65.08% voting. Overall turnout reached 66.90%, which is 9.6% higher than the previous election. This shows that voters in Bihar participated actively and played a strong role in the democratic process.

What does the NDA’s victory mean for future development?

After the win, PM Modi said that the people of Bihar have once again shown trust in the NDA. He assured that the government will now work even harder to move Bihar forward. He added that the NDA is fully committed to development and will aim to make Bihar one of the most developed states in the country.

How has public trust remained with the current government?

The election results point towards a new direction for the state. The big victory of the NDA shows that people still have confidence in the present government. In the coming years, this result may influence the social, economic, and political environment of Bihar, giving the government an opportunity to improve its policies and development plans further.
